Retail US dollar selling rate in Argentine pesos
This is the BCRA retail selling average calculated from quotations reported by participating institutions. It expresses pesos per USD for sales to the public, weighted by each institution's market share; it is not one price offered to every customer.
Where this exchange rate helps
It helps track an indicative cost of buying dollars in the retail segment and compare USD budgets with peso amounts on the stated date. For an actual transaction, check the chosen institution's selling price, fees and terms.
How to read the figure
To estimate a peso equivalent on the publication date, multiply a foreign-currency amount by the ARS quoted per unit. This is an indicative comparison, not a price at which you can trade.
What this exchange rate does not include
This is the selling side, not the price at which an institution buys your dollars. It is also distinct from the A 3500 wholesale reference, MEP and CCL. The BCRA calculates this reference average but does not set each institution's price.
