BYMA quotes and company data: methodology
How La Plata brings together BYMA closing prices, financial statements and company profiles. Sources, dates, currencies, reporting periods and missing values.
Identified sources
Prices and daily history come from BYMA Open Data. Financial statements and multiples retain their currency and period; estimates are distinguished from reported results. Descriptions are written from corporate information and provider profiles; ownership is shown when a verified disclosure is available.
A date for each value
Quotes are session closes, not real-time prices. The date beside a price belongs to that instrument. In financials, the retrieval date is not the fiscal period end: the provider’s annual, quarterly and TTM periods are retained.
Missing does not mean zero
“—” means a value is unavailable. Gaps are not filled with our own estimates or with figures from an ADR or another share class. An actual zero is displayed as zero.
Descriptions with context
Profiles distinguish the company, its products and its business lines. Economic explanations describe how an activity works; they do not claim a revenue contribution when it is not disclosed. A business line does not always match an accounting segment.
Who prepares the text
La Plata prepares descriptions and translations with AI assistance using corporate information and provider data. The text distinguishes company facts from general explanations of business mechanics. Coverage, consistency and data checks are not an independent review by a financial analyst.
Compare on the same basis
Each metric retains its currency and period. Inflation, accounting changes and corporate actions can affect series. Historical values are kept as supplied; they are not converted into comparable amounts without a confirmed basis.
An independent explorer
La Plata brings together information to understand Argentine companies. It is not an exchange or broker and does not execute orders. Watchlists are stored in this browser. Figures and explanations are reference information, not personalised recommendations.
