A 3500 wholesale US dollar reference rate
This is the BCRA reference exchange rate for the wholesale segment under Communication A 3500. Since January 2026 its methodology has used actual transactions weighted by volume. The published figure is ARS per USD on its reference date.
Where this exchange rate helps
It helps track the peso against the dollar in the wholesale market and interpret contracts or series that expressly specify the A 3500 reference. For an obligation, check which date and benchmark the applicable document requires.
How to read the figure
To estimate a peso equivalent on the publication date, multiply a foreign-currency amount by the ARS quoted per unit. This is an indicative comparison, not a price at which you can trade.
What this exchange rate does not include
It is not a retail selling price or an offer to buy dollars. The BCRA general currency quotation, retail selling average, MEP and CCL are distinct measures and can differ on the same day.
